Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has declared the result of the Deputy Section Officer (DYSO) Class-3 Prelim exam on its website gpsc.gujarat.gov.in. According to the commission, a total of 4942 candidates have been declared eligible to appear for the DYSO Class 3 Main examination. The Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination for the Advt. No. 27/2020‐21 for the posts of Deputy Section Officer, Deputy Mamlatdar Class‐3 was held on August 01, 2021, by the commission.
The candidates who have qualified for the Deputy Section Officer (DYSO) Main examination, have to apply again for admission to the main examination in the detailed application form. They have to apply online and fill the Detailed Application Form prescribed for admission to the Main Examination. The Main examination is proposed to be conducted on October 17 and 24, 2021 at Ahmedabad or Gandhinagar centre.
GPSC has also made some changes in the final answer key. Updating the final answer key of DYSO Class 3 Exam, changes have been updated for 102 questions in the Master paper. In addition to that, 12 questions have been cancelled based on the final Answer key for (DSP-2021). Hence, the commission has decided to equally distribute the marks of cancelled questions among 188 questions on a pro-rata basis, as such evaluation has been carried out by treating each question with 1.064 marks for the right answer and (-) 0.319 mark for the wrong and multiple encoded answers.

The category-wise cut-off marks and the category-wise total number of qualified candidates are given in the DYSO Class 3 result notice. The commission has set 72.26 marks as the cut-off for General Male, EWS Male, SEBC Male, and SC Male category candidates. The lowest cut-off is observed as 54.50 for ST Female candidates. The cut-off marks for Female candidates of General, EWS, SCBS, and SC categories are 62.47. For ST Male the cut-off stands at 65.24.
"In order to select the required no. of candidates from the Ex-serviceman category and PH (Divyang) category, the cut-off Marks of each category has been relaxed up to 10%", reads the official notice.
