BJP workers during a protest march against corruption in Amphan relief distribution were allegedly attack by Trinamool Congress (TMC) “goons”. The clashed happened in West Bengal’s North 24 areal between workers of TMC and those of BJP during a protest. "TMC workers allegedly attacked BJP workers who were taking out a protest march against alleged corruption in Ambhan relief distribution, alleged harassment of BJP workers by police & other issues, in Jagatdal of North 24 Parganas district earlier today", tweeted News Agency ANI.
BJP workers claim that instead of helping, the Police were harassing them. "Many people have sustained injuries in the attack by TMC goons. Mobile phones and vehicles of several people have been snatched," Barrackpore BJP MP Arjun Singh, who was leading the protest, said ANI. Arjun Singh also alleged that crude bombs were hurled upon BJP workers during protest.
Villagers (around 1500-2000) from 13 Panchayat assembled to protest against corruption in relief fund of Cyclone in Amphan. Villagers said that they want commencement of NREGA work and demanded Job Cards from Mamta led Government. Another protester Saidullah Sheikh said, “We have started community kitchen here. We will eat and sleep in front of the BDO office but not budge until our demands are met.”
BJP workers have been the brutal target and were attacked and killed several times on various occasions in West Bengal. BJP leader Sabyasachi Dutta was attacked during such clash. The same hustle in April caused death of BJP woman Panchayat candidate and her husband. Pregnant wife of a BJP worker suffered miscarriage after being kicked and assaulted by TMC goons. Many houses and Office of BJP were set on fire.

Pabitra Das, District Secretary of BJP was shot at Khejuri in West Bengal but had a lucky escape as the bullet hits the left hand, report said.
