State of Siege: Temple Attack Review: In this digitally glorious era of OTT platforms, now Akshaye Khanna is also ready for his digital debut. Akshay is making his OTT debut with ZEE5's Original film- 'State of Siege: Temple Attack'. The film is releasing on 9th July and the trailer was released on Friday. Akshay is playing the role of an NSG commando in this film.

The film is the next offering in ZEE5's State of Siege series. The story of State of Siege - 26/11 was based on the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, while the story of State of Siege - Temple Attack is inspired by the terrorist attack on Akshardham Temple and its plot.

The film will be simultaneously premiered in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The trailer focuses on the scenes of attack on the temple, NSG activity, failures committed by Akshaye Khanna's character. State of Siege: Temple Attack is directed by Ken Ghosh. Kane directed Abhay 2 as well as Lt Col (Retd). The film is produced by Contiloe Pictures.

Akshaye Khanna has already played the role of an army officer in many films (Kargil, Border). When the first look of the film was released, he had said- "It is a privilege that only a few actors get. During the shooting of the film, my focus was also on the fact that that privilege should not be disrespected."

Apart from Akshaye Khanna, Vivek Dahiya, Gautam Rode, Manjari Phadnis, Akshay Oberoi will be seen in pivotal roles.

Let us tell you, on 24 September 2002, there was a Pak-sponsored terrorist attack at the Akshardham temple located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. More than 30 innocent civilians were killed and more than 80 were injured in this cowardly attack.

National Security Guard (NSG) team stormed the spot and handled the situation. The NSG successfully neutralized the terrorists and was able to end the siege.
