There has been a boil on the social media of Pakistan regarding the trailer of a new web series 'Dhoop Ki Deewar'. This web series is premiering on June 25. Pakistani actors Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Ali are in the lead roles in this web series. The theme of the web series is a love story that flourished between India and Pakistan.
People are angry with the Hindu-Muslim love story. In the web series Dhoop Ki Deewar, the girl is from Pakistan and the boy is from India. It has also been told that the fathers of both had given their lives while fighting for the army of their respective countries. The story of this web series is written by Umera Ahmed and directed by Haseeb Hassan.
On June 15 and June 18, two trailers of 'Dhoop Ki Deewar' were released. Since then, the #BanDhoopKiDeewar hashtag started trending on the social media of Pakistan. Most of the social media users objected that a Muslim girl (Sajal) is being shown in love with a Hindu boy (Ahad). At the same time, some social media users in Pakistan are also supporting the web series.
Let us tell you that Sajal Ali and Ahad Raza Mir are husband and wife in real life. In protest against the web series, a user tweeted, "We have neither been together nor will we continue, India and Pakistan are two different nationalities."
Another user wrote, "It is not romanticism or emotion that will bring peace. History itself tells that both emotion and love are not visible aspects of war itself. It is a war that brings peace, as history has shown."
Some users tweeted that it is not right to form an opinion before watching the web series. One user wrote- "Pakistani like to watch all Indian movies and hit them at the box office and call Indian web series good but when Pakistani web series comes they start saying, ban it. strange! Don't judge by the cover of the book."

Supporters also came forward, a user supporting the web series said that the message of peace and love is more important than keeping the rot of hatred. This user tweeted "In recent decades politicians, conflicts and wars have fueled hatred among people on both sides. Such drama will help in reducing hatred among both Indians and Pakistanis. There is nothing wrong with the trailer that speaks differently from the two-nation theory."
The writer of the series told Social Tragedy, the story writer of the web series, Umera Ahmed, has spoken on this issue in a long note on Instagram. Umera has written that on which platform the series will be shown, he has no role in it. The fact is that it is not my decision to show it on Zee5. On the issue of the web series being a love story, Umera preferred to call it 'social tragedy'. Omar said that what is the effect of war on individual lives, it has been shown in the web series.
According to Umera, after the story was written, the ISPR (Inter-Services Public Relations) was sent for approval. Umera also asked why talking about peace is considered a sin, the fact is that it has been strongly promoted in Islam. The 'Dhoop Ki Deewar' web series will air on the Indian streaming platform Zee5 from June 25.
