Miss Marvel, the first-ever superhero of Muslim origin, makes her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Ms. Marvel. Kamala Khan, a 16-year-old Pakistani American teen living in Jersey City, will be introduced by Ms. Marvel. She is a polymorph in the comic books, which means she can change the shape and length of her limbs at will. Her abilities came from a dormant inhuman gene that was triggered by the events of the Inhumanity comic book saga.
Her character name comes from her love for the Avengers, especially Carol Danvers, a.k.a. Captain Marvel. She opted to take the moniker of her superhero idol when she discovered her abilities.
