In a video posted on June 19, 2022, he confirmed that the seventh season would air on July 7, 2022, on the streaming platform Disney Plus Hotstar. Johar revealed on June 30, 2022, that the season would air on Hulu in the United States.

K. L. Rahul and Hardik Pandya were the first two cricket players to feature on the show, in the 12th episode. On 11 January 2019, Star India's streaming platform, Hotstar (now known as Disney+ Hotstar), removed the episode from their site due to comments made by Pandya during the episode that fans found "crass, racist, sexist, and cringe-worthy." Additionally, Star World India removed all promotional content for the episode from their social media pages.
