UP Govt to release Prisoners, to create Quarantine facilities

As we can see the no. of Novel Coronavirus infected people is in the problems due to no place in the hospital. Due to solve these problems the Government has announced to avail the hospital in any case if it requires so convert the jail into the hospital. It is happening in most of the states in India. In Uttar Pradesh to release 11,000 jail inmates on bail due to COVID-19 and it is also the main reason for making available the Hospitals in India.

UP Govt to Release Prisoners

In Uttar Pradesh, 11000 prisoners had been out due to the requirement of the Hospital of the Novel Coronavirus in India. Recently in this month, the Tihar Prison authorities announced their decision to release almost 3,000 prisoners of Delhi based on a recommendation in this regard by the Delhi High Court to solve this critical situation. Tihar Jail which is the largest prison in India has announced on March 23, 2020, and release on parole bail some 3,000 who are not 'hardened criminals', this is directed by the Supreme Court (SC) to determine which categories of prisoners could be temporarily released to control the spread of COVID-19.

UP Govt to release Prisoners, for Quarantine facilities

Maharashtra has proposed to similarly release over 5,000 inmates while making COVID-19 tests mandatory for all new inmates. Mumbai’s Arthur Road jail which houses 3,700 inmates against the capacity of less than 1,000, has set up 20 isolation cells for prisoners with COVID-19 symptoms so that it can be stopped the Novel Coronavirus easily. 

As on March 24, 2020, Twenty prisoners in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat Jail have been quarantined for showing symptoms of COVID-19 due to stop spread the Novel Coronavirus.
