The Batman is a new superhero film based on the DC Comics character 'Batman'. It is a reboot of the Batman film franchise, produced by DC Films, 6th & Idaho, and Dylan Clark Productions, and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. Matt Reeves directs the film, which he co-wrote with Peter Craig. It stars Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Set in Batman's second year of fighting crime, the film follows Batman as he investigates corruption in Gotham City while on the hunt for the Riddler (Dano), a serial killer who targets Gotham's elite.
