A popular actor in the Bengali film industry, Soham Chakraborty started his acting career at the age of three and made his debut on the silver screen with Choto Bou (1987). The two-time winner of Star Jalsha Entertainment Awards and one Tele Cine Awards, Soham has featured in several popular films including Lathi (1996), Ek Tukro Chand (2003), Bajimaat (2008), Le Halua Le (2012), Jamai 420 (2015), and Amar Aponjon (2017), which is the remake of the 2004 Tamil-language film Autograph. His 2018 release includes Honeymoon, a romantic comedy directed by Premendu Bikash Chaki.
His first film as a lead was 'Chander Bari'. He has also work in reality show Twinkle Twinkle Dancing Star launched by makers of Chirodini, Tumi Je Amar, Prem Amar, Challenge, Amanush, and many more. He was also the host of Parar Sera Bouthan, Soham has also appeared on television serial Bojhena Se Bojhena. He has also interested in politics that's why he joined All India Trinamool Congress in 2015, he contested in the 2016 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election but he lost.
