Pooja Kumar was born on 4 February 1977 in St. Louis in the state of Missouri, United States. She is an Indian Film Actress, Model, Television Presenter, Film Producer & Video Jockey (VJ) who is known for her work in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam & English language films.
Pooja Kumar started her career as an actress from a Tamil film named Kadhal Rojave in 1997. Later on, she stepped into production by her film 1001 Auditions.She possesses varied interests of learning Indian classical dance in form of Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Kathak and has been crowned as Miss India USA in the year 1995, exhibiting her talent of being an excellent model. She was a pleasant host of an Indian television quiz show Jaggo aur Jeeto on Zee TV in 2008. She has various awards and recognitions to her credit including the Screen Actors Guild award for Emerging Actress in 2003. She has also worked as a newsreader in Namaste America, an American show on television. She has notable roles in English movies like Hiding Divya, Bollywood Beats, Knots Urbane and much more.
