Kanika Kapoor was born on 23rd March 1978 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. She is an Indian singer, she started her career since 2012 after divorced her husband Raj Chandok an NRI Businessman to whom she married in 1997 in India and moved to London. Her first song was 'Jugni Ji' (2012) but she knew by the song 'Baby Doll' for the movie Ragini MMS 2. Through her performance she get Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer. After that, she had been sung many songs some of them are Lovely and Kamlee for the film Happy New Year (2014), Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan (2015), Ek Paheli Leela (2015).
She is the daughter of Rajeev Kapoor a businessman, and her mother, Poonam Kapoor, is a boutique owner. At the age of 12th she always aspired to pursue a career in singing, but unfortunately, she got's the chance in 2012. She tested positive for COVID-19 during the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic on 20 March 2020. She returned to India from London on 15 March, whereupon she hid travel history and later threw a party for her family and friends in Lucknow.
