James Edward Franco is an American director, filmmaker and actor. He is best known for his lead roles in the biopic film 127 Hours (2010), James Dean (2001), the fantasy film Oz the Great and Powerful (2013) and the dramatic action film Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011).
