Devi Sri Prasad was born on 2nd August 1979 in Vedurupaka, East Godavari District Andhra Pradesh, India. He is an Indian Composer, Singer, Lyricist, Playback Singer, Music Director, Musician & Choreographer. Devi Sri Prasad is a popular Indian music composer, singer, director, and lyricist. He is best known for his work in South Indian cinema. He attended Sir M. Venkata Subba Rao Boys High School, Chennai for his schooling. He used to participate and had won many prizes in inter-school singing and dance competitions. He completed his degree in Bachelor of Business Administration. He learned from well-known mandolinist, U. Srinivas. Renowned singers like S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, K. S. Chithra, and S.Janaki assessed him. He is the fan of Michael Jackson and Ilaiyaraaja.
He was interested in music from his childhood. He learned singing Saint Kabir's dohas. S. P. B. Charan introduced him to the industry with his debut album Dance Party. He made his debut in Telugu music direction with Kodi Ramakrishna's film Devi in 1999. Later he worked on several projects in Telugu movies including Navvuthu Bathakalira, Kalusukovalani, Thotti Gang, Pournami, Kidnap, Shankar Dada Zindabad, Mallannaa, Namo Venkatesa, Simha Putrudu, Darammayilatho, Veerudokkade, Janatha Garage, Khaidi No. 150 etc. He made his debut in Tamil movie with 2003 film Ice directed by R. Raghuraj. Sachien, Unakkum Enakkum, Santosh Subramaniam, Singam, Manmadan Ambu, Veeram, Bramman etc are few of his Tamil projects. Apart from Telugu and Tamil, he had also worked for one Kannada film titled ?Sangama? in the year 2008.
