Telugu producer Dil Raju has tied the knot on Sunday night in Nizamabad. Due to coronavirus lockdown, the marriage took place amid a close group of family members and friends at the famous Venkateswara Temple in Narsingpally. Though the details regarding the bride are yet to be revealed, sources claim that the 49-year-old filmmaker got hitched to a middle-age woman hailing from the Brahmin community. Dil Raju’s daughter Hanshita Reddy is said to have supervised all the formalities of her father’s second marriage.
While the entire Telugu film fraternity and common folks are curious about the wedding, a few photos have been released and the newly-wed couple can be seen all smiles. The pics are going viral on social media at the moment.
On Sunday morning, Dil Raju’s production house, Sri Venkateswara Creations released a press statement on his behalf. Confirming the marriage on an indirect note, it read 'With the world coming to standstill, things haven’t quite been great for most of us on the professional front. I haven’t been going through a great time personally as well for a while now. But I am hopeful things will settle down very soon and all will be well. And in that fervor of hope, it’s now time for me to turn over a new leaf and restart my personal life on a happy note.'
On March 12, 2017, Dil Raju’s first wife Anitha passed away due to a fatal cardiac arrest in Hyderabad. Sadly, the ace producer was in the United States at that time overseeing the shooting arrangements of Fidaa. Meantime, rumors on his second marriage started to surface from the second half of 2019 itself.
