The sports actioner starring Vijay Deverakonda is due to hit theatres on August 25. With Karan Johar-produced flick Liger, he makes his Bollywood debut opposite Ananya Panday. While Vijay Deverakonda's film's songs and 'nearly nude' poster generated a lot of buzz on the Internet, the film also appears to be plagued by social media issues.

Puri Jagannath's directorial will have a strong start, according to trade reports. Vijay's Bollywood debut has already earned approximately ₹1.70 crores in Telugu based on advance bookings on the first day.

Early Advance Trends in Andhra Box Office suggest a Strong Start for Telugu. Hyderabad is doing almost identically to a Top Tier Biggie. As has become the case in recent years, there isn't much of an advanced booking market for most films in Hindi, and this is no exception. ₹3-4 Crores Day 1 Nett is anticipated.

Liger Box Office Day 1: Total Screen Count

Nothing concrete has been revealed about the film's total screen count so far. According to some unconfirmed reports, Liger will definitely get 2500+ screens, however, this could reduce or increase depending upon the advance booking of the Vijay Deverakonda starrer. Nikhil Siddharth's film Karthikeya 2 too had a very low opening screen count, however, as soon as it received critical acclaim, the screens increased from 300 to 1000.

According to reports, several business experts are shocked by Vijay's popularity in the Telugu-speaking region. As of now, the Telugu version is in the lead. Some experts have said that Liger could see a ₹15 crore plus opening, to say the least.
