Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda made a major effort to advertise Liger across the nation. That, however, didn't seem to be sufficient to draw audiences to the theatres. The recently released movie has had a dismal opening weekend. Liger, which debuted on April 29 to much hoopla, is reportedly an even worse failure than Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan's Acharya.
Liger, which hit theatres on August 25, had a terrible opening weekend. Both the public and critics have given the movie unfavorable reviews. According to trade reports, Liger fell drastically at the box on Monday, the movie saw slight consistency on Tuesday though. Liger is expected to earn almost ₹1 crore on day 7.
