Liger, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, is off to a strong start at the box office. However, the picture hit a roadblock as a result of unfavorable reviews. Liger reportedly made roughly Rs 16 crore on its first day of release, but on the second day, the movie's earnings fell by more than 50%.
For unclear reasons, the Hindi version of Liger was released later than expected. It will be interesting to see how Liger holds up in the face of the flood of bad reviews. The movie is expected to earn even less on Saturday due constant cancellation of shows & lack of advance bookings for the film. It looks like Liger storm was nothing but hype without weight. Liger box office collection day 3 report is here.
Day 1 [1st Thur] | Aug 25 | ₹16.00 Cr |
Day 2 [1st Fri] | Aug 26 | ₹7.4 Cr (expected) |
Day 3 [1st Sat] | Aug 27 | ₹7.00 Cr |
Total | ₹30.4 Cr |
The main lead of the film, Vijay Deverakonda recently ridiculed the critics of Bollywood & said that it was unnecessary for Bollywood folks to take the trollers seriously. This did not sit well with many internet users & general public. This is another reason behind film's constantly falling box office numbers.
