Tollywood stars Nayanthara have decided to contribute their donation part to PM CARE fund today. The Tamil actress is going to donate in Prime Minister's Relief fund initiated to fight Covid19. Stated in recent update Nayanthara praising the efforts of Health Workers across India and all those forefronting the country likely to announce donation for the welfare of poor. The couple seems to donate also for Health workers, Doctors in this tough time by helping through masks, PPE kits
The novel coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown have made life difficult for daily wagers who are struggling to make ends meet during the crisis. Many celebrities, including Sivakarthikeyan, Aishwarya Rajesh and Vijay Sethupathi, have donated money to help the needy. Nayanthara has come forward to contribute Rs 20 lakh to FEFSI (Film Employees Federation of South India) to help workers during the lockdown. So far, only two actresses have contributed to improving the livelihood of daily wagers in the Kollywood film industry.
A couple of days ago, actress Aishwarya Rajesh donated a sum of Rs 1 lakh to workers in the Tamil film industry. RK Selvamani, president of FEFSI, requested top actors in the film industry to help the people who toil hard on film sets but aren't unrecognized. Earlier, in a statement, Selvamani wrote, 'There will be a huge loss, but we should stand united on this issue. We care about our workers more than anything.
Many actors and producers have also given them rice bags and other essential amenities that are needed to go about their daily life. Film shoots in the Tamil film industry have been halted till April 14 due to coronavirus lockdown. The FEFSI members might continue with the halt, depending on the situation.
