Suresh Gopi was born on 26-06-1959 in Kollam (Kerala), India. He is an Indian Film Actor, Politician, Singer, Philanthropist, Social Worker, Television Presenter & Playback Singer he best known for his work in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada films. Suresh Gopi is a well-known personality in Kerala and many parts of South India. His full name is Suresh Gopinathan. He was become the Member of Parliament (MP) in the Rajya Sabha. he completed his schooling from the Infant Jesus School Kollam. He had done his college from Fatima Mata National College completing his M.A. degree. In the year 1965, he first started his acting career from the movie named ?Odayil Ninnum?, He has got National Film Award for Best Actor for his character role of Kannan Perumalayan in Kaliyattam in the year 1997.

He worked in the movies Christian Brothers in the year 2010. He also worked in the Tamil movie named Dr. Vasudevan. Before coming in politics, Suresh Gopi has also raised many of the social issues. One of the notable events was in the 2001 election, where there was the exclusion of many of the eligible people during the polling day. The list of missing names also included the name of his mother in law. He protested this by not voting for that election.
