A fine arts graduate, Harish Vyas is an Indian writer and director who is known for his works in the Punjabi and Hindi film industries. Having started his career as an assistant director, he rose to fame with his maiden directorial venture Proper Patola. The film not only won critical acclaim but also won Harish the Best Debutant Director. The 2018 release Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain is Harish's debut in the mainstream Bollywood cinema.
