Xi Jinping offers $2 Billion to developing countries, says Chinese vaccine to be global public good

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday announced assistance of $2 Billions over two years to affected countries specially developing countries. During the opening of World Health Assembly (WHA) Xi Jinping the standing President of China also said that China's Covid19 vaccine when available will be a global public good. On 73rd WHA virtual session presided by India, Chinese premier made these announcements. Facing backlash from USA, EU and several other countries in the world for spreading Covid19 by hiding information, first time openly spoke on Coronavirus. On the WHA occasion the Chinese President offered the assistance of 2 billions USD to affected countries specially developing nations.

Xi Jinping offers $2 Billion to developing countries

China will provide two billion U.S. dollars over two years to aid #COVID19 response as well as economic and social development in affected countries, especially developing countries, said Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday at the opening of the 73rd WHA session. According to CGTN report over 73rd session of the World Health Assembly (WHA) Chinese President was invited by World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

Chinese Covid Vaccine a Global Public Good-

China's COVID19 vaccine, when available, will be made a global public good, which will be China's contribution to ensuring vaccine accessibility and affordability in developing countries, said Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday. WHA session started on Monday May 18, virtually on the call of World Health Organization (WHO). India is presiding the chair in 73rd session of WHA.

Whereas on the occasion of WHA virtual meeting scheduled on 18 & 19 May, US and allied countries started a signing campaign to include Taiwan as an independent nation to partake for the first time over its efforts to contain Covid19 pandemic. More than Hundred countries including India signed the letter campaign.
