Amid the increasing unemployment rate across the country, Varun Gandhi, BJP MP from Pilibhit hits back at the central government and its policies related to the government job exams. The parliamentarian who has been criticizing and commenting on the issues related to the youth, on Thursday tweeted urging the central government and concerned agencies to take cognizance of the pending and ongoing Railway NTPC, Group D, SSC & other central level recruitment exams.

Questioning the central government, Mr. Gandhi tweeted, "First, there is no government job, if some chance comes, the paper gets leaked. If you give the exam, then there is no result for years, then it is canceled in some scam. 1.25 crore youth of Railway Group-D is waiting for the results for two years. The same is the case with recruitment in the army. Till when should the youth of India be patient?".

The examination for the recruitment of over 1 lakh Group-D vacancies in Indian Railways is yet to take a shape as it has already taken more than 2.5 years. Approximately 1.2 crore applicants have applied for the posts and have been waiting for the examination since May 2018. While releasing the advertisement, Railway Recruitment Boards decided to conduct 1st stage Computer-Based Test in June-July 2018 which was subsequently postponed by the board.
