UPSC NDA Notification 2022 Out at upsc.gov.in; 400 Male & Female Posts, Apply Before 11 January

UPSC NDA 2022 (I) exam is scheduled to be held commencing on April 10, 2022. The exam will be held in pen-and-paper mode at the designated centers. A total of 400 posts are to be filled in three wings.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the NDA (I) 2022 notification for filling a total of 400 posts on its website upsc.gov.in. According to the official NDA 2022 notification, applications are invited online from the interested and eligible candidates from December 12. The candidates are required to submit the online application on or before January 11, 2022. UPSC NDA 2022 exam is scheduled to start on April 10, 2022, and to be held for more than one day in pen-paper format.

Under the NDA 2022 recruitment drive a total of 400 posts to be filled in National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA). Highest 208 posts to be filled in Indian Army including (including 10 for female candidates). Whereas, 42 posts are to be filled in the Indian Navy (including 03 for female candidates). Whereas, 120 posts in Indian Air Force (92 posts in Flying 18 in Ground Duties (Tech) including 02 for female candidates, and 10 posts in Ground Duties (Non-Tech) including 02 for female candidates to be filled. Apart from that, 30 posts (for male candidates only) are reserved for Naval Academy under the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme.

UPSC NDA 2022 Eligibility:

Only unmarried male or female candidates who are born not earlier than July  02, 2003, and not later than July 01, 2006, are eligible to apply for the NDA I 2022 notification.

To be academically eligible for the Indian Army Wing of National Defence Academy candidates should have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a state education board or a university. While for the Indian Air Force, Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme candidates should have passed Class 12 exams with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern.

UPSC NDA 2022 How to Apply?

The CDS 2022 application process is fairly straightforward, requiring a candidate to follow a sequence of steps. They are as follows –

1: Go to the official website of Union Public Service Commission, upsconline.nic.in.

2: On the homepage, click on the link attached to “ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC”.

3: A new page containing the application links for NDA 2022 and CDS 2022 will open. Click on the Part I link of NDA 2022 to access the application form.

4: Read through thoroughly before clicking on the ‘Yes’ option.

5: In part I of the registration process, candidates have to fill in the basic details including name, date of birth, address, category, parents’ details, education qualifications, etc.

6: In Part II of the application process, candidates have to upload the required documents, pay the application fee, select the exam center, and agree to the declaration.

Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs 100 as an application fee either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using the net banking facility of SBI or by using a Credit or Debit Card. While SC, ST candidates, female candidates, Wards of JCOs, NCOs, ORs are exempted from payment of the fee. Candidates can withdraw their online applications from January 18 to 24, 2021 till 6:00 PM.

The written examination will be held for a total of 900 marks. There will be two papers- Mathematics and General Ability Test for 300 and 600 marks each. Students will be given 150 minutes to attempt each question paper. Those who qualify the written examination will be eligible for SSB Interview.
