UPSC IES Exam 2020 Update: 'Vacancies NIL' says UPSC Notification for Indian Economic Services recruitment this year

UPSC IES Exam 2020 Update: The Indian Economic Services (IES) recruitment under the Union Public Service Commission or UPSC has been cancelled as there are no vacancies in any of the departments as of now. According to the official website of UPSC, the datasheet for the upcoming IES, ISS recruitment examinations that were supposed to be held in October this year was scheduled for release.

However, with no vacancies, there won't be any further recruitment process. IES exams 2020 are now cancelled, however, applications for 47 vacancies in the ISS posts have begun. The notification on the UPSC official website said, "Indian Economic Service Examination, 2020 will not be held due to NIL vacancy reported for the Indian Economic Service by the Ministry of Finance (Department of Economic Affairs).” Candidates who were eagerly waiting for the recruitment are advised to keep calm and have patience.

Meanwhile, a detailed revised examination calendar is expected to be issued by the Commission soon. Candidates are advised to keep an eye on the UPSC official website for latest updates. The official website of UPSC is - www.upsc.gov.in.

The UPSC ISS Exam 2020 notification is currently available on the official website of UPSC. As per the notice, the application process for the upcoming examination is ongoing. Candidates willing to appear in the UPSC ISS Exam must register themselves before the last date mentioned on the UPSC ISS notification.

UPSC Exam Schedule 2020

As per the UPSC Exam Calendar, the examinations for other UPSC posts including Civil Services Examination or CSE Prelims 2020 is scheduled to start on October 4 this year. The National Defence Academy or NDA examination will be held on September 6 and the medical services examination will take place on August 9 and October 22 at various UPSC examination centres across the country.
