UPSC Engineering Service Exam 2020 Merit List Released, 302 Candidates Provisionally Recommended

UPSC has declared the Personality test results and a list of provisionally recommended candidates on its website. As many as 302 candidates have been provisionally recommended for ME, CE, EE, ETE, etc. desciplines.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of the Engineering Services Examination, 2020 Personality Test held in March-April 2021. A merit list has been released by the UPSC in order of merit of the candidates who appeared for the Personality Test and Written Examination. As many as 302 candidates have been recommended for appointment to various Services/Posts in the Ministries/Departments concerned.

According to the Merit list prepared by the UPSC, 127 candidates have been recommended for appointment to the Civil Engineering discipline, 38 to Mechanical Engineering, 62 to Electrical Engineering, and 75 for Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

UPSC had conducted the Written part of the Engineering Services Examination, 2020 in October 2020. The interviews for Personality Test were held in March-April, 2021 for the candidates who had qualified for the written part of the examination.

"Appointments shall be made strictly in accordance with the extant rules and the number of vacancies available. Allotment of candidates to various Services/Posts shall be made according to ranks obtained and preference of Services expressed by them", the official notice reads.

The provisionality of the candidates will remain valid only for a period of three months [up to 11/07/2021] from the date of declaration of the final result. Such provisional candidates will have to submit their original documents to the Commission only.

If a candidate fails to submit the requisite documents, as required by the Commission, within the above prescribed period, his/her candidature will be canceled and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard, notice adds.
