UP SI 2021 Exam Hacked Latest Updates: Hacking Reports Infuriates Thousands, UP Police Warns

With more than 2 million tweets a storm has been observed on the micro-blogging site, Twitter. Infuriated students on Wednesday launched an online campaign demanding a re-conduct of the UP SI online exam that was reportedly hacked.

Taking to social media, more than a million job aspirants on Wednesday joined an online campaign (#UPSI2021SCAM) and demanded re-conduct of the UP SI Exam 2021 that was reportedly been hacked at an online exam center. The recent reports of UP SI online exam hacking have sparked a buzz among the aspirants which resulted in more than 2.3 million tweets on the hashtag #UPSI2021SCAM by December 15, 2021, till 04:15 pm. UP Police on the other hand, asked candidates to not believe in misleading reports.

As per schedule, UP Police Sub Inspector (SI) exam for male and female candidates was held in three phases from November 12 to December 02 in computer-based mode. Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (PRPB) recently released the official answer key on its website.   

According to a Jagaran press release, during the investigation, it has been found that the master computer of a candidate who appeared in UP SI Exam 2021 was hacked by the cyber experts of the paper solver gang. In this context, the team has arrested three indulged in the UP SI paper-hacking. In their possession team has found an online paper that was on the stake in 8 to 10 lakh rupees. According to the STF, the exam was hacked from an online exam center at Maharshi Gautam Inter College.

Revealing the identity of the hackers, the Special Task Force team said that by making a raid inside the college they have arrested three accused named Rajbir, Raju Urf Deepak, and Himanshu.

UPSI2021SCAM Trends on Twitter:

Supporting the inquiry in the matter, Hansraj Meena a political activist came forward. The activist attaching the press release demanded an investigation from SIT in the matter. "Lakhs of UPSI aspirants have been Digital protesting in Twitter are demanding a SIT investigation into allegations of paper leak and mass cheating. We demand to @UPGovt. SIT investigation & the students must be Heard & provided Justice and Fair Examination/Selection," Meena tweeted.

Further, an application is also trending on social media in which a candidate writes to the state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding the scam. In the application, it has been highlighted that several students have scored more than 150 marks of the total 160 even after the paper was reported difficult. Further, the arrest of solver-gang has also been briefly mentioned by the applicant. Through the application, an investigation of students scoring more than 140 marks has been demanded.

Will UP SI Exam be Reconducted?

UP Police STF team is probing into the online exam hacking issue. So far, the team has arrested 3 accused. The team is interrogating them and trying to identify their connections and level of the irregularities. In the coming days, it will submit its report to the concerned board, and thereafter, a decision would be taken regarding the UP SI exam. 

The re-exam is only speculated by the candidates on social media. It should be noted that a decision regarding the future course would be taken only by the recruitment board.

What does UP Police say on Scam?

Apart from that, UP Police through its official handle warned the students that the trends with the aforesaid hashtags are misleading and inauthentic. It has urged students to take cognizance of the official website - uppbpb.gov.in for recruitment-related updates.
