Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Services Commission (UPHESC) is about to start recruitment for the post of Assistant Professor on 3900 vacancies. Under Advt no 49, UPHESC commission would begin Assistant Professor recruitment process in August month. After getting the nod from Uttar Pradesh Government, UPHESC has audited the subject wise Assistant Professor’s vacancies in state government aided colleges. The recruitment process which was expected to start in July month, is now differed to August 2020, a press report reads.
Under the advt no 49, Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Services Commission would start recruitment on 3900 Assistant Professors. This Assistant Professors’ recruitment under UPHESC will be first under the BJP led government in UP state. According to press release, about 5000 posts of Assistant Professor are declared vacant after conducting survey.
Earlier determining the ratio of students to Professors in Colleges, the audit was initiated to figure out the number of vacancies in state govt colleges. After audit, the Higher Education Officer submitted the report of 3900 Assistant Professors' vacancies in 43 subjects to UPHESC Commission. It is stated that initially the recruitment under advertisement no 49, a total 3900 posts of Assistant Professor to be filled in 43 subjects.

UPHESC on other hand has released recruitment advertisement for the recruitment of 290 posts of Principal in Colleges under UP Higher Education Services Commission. The Recruitment notification on Assistant Professor was also expected in follow-up of Principal, but delayed to August month. The recruitment process for the 3900 posts of Assistant Professor would start from August 2020 and detailed advertisement would be published at official UPHESC website.
