'Unemployed youth here will pick up guns', Mehbooba Mufti makes provocative statement

Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti on Monday makes a provocative statement saying 'when there is no job, the youth here will pick-up guns'. Ahead of the District Development Council elections, Mufti shows her displeasure on revoking of Article 370 by the NDA government.

According to a report published in DNA, former Jammu and Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti on Monday makes a provocative statement. Showing displeasure for the BJP party over unemployment in the UT, former CM makes the controversial statement saying 'when there is no job, the youth here will pick-up the guns', that sparked the controversy. Netizans target former CM for backing the arms embargo in the Jammu and Kashmir. Mehbooba Mufti also praised Tejashwi Yadav, saying BJP's will be same as what happened with Trump.

Making the controversial statement Mufti was seen trying to back those who took up guns in J&K. Mufti said that when there is no job, the youth here will pick up guns. Mufti targets Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) for not fulfilling its promise to generate jobs in the Union Territory, after revoking Artcile 370 from the state, on August 8 last year. She shows displeasure on govt's decision to house arrest of political leaders in the state. Earlier, fomer CM Mehbooba Mufti was released from house custody after 13 months of the split of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh into two Union Territories.

Showing her displeasure on the political events happening in the Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti said that after revoking Article 370, BJP's intention is to take away the land and jobs of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

"Centre has to return Article 370, everything is snatched from us", she further adds. Gaining sympathy, Mufti said that the Article 370 was there to save the Dogra culture. Whether it is the flag of the country or the flag of Jammu and Kashmir, it was given to us by the Constitution. 'They took away everything from us', Mufti added. The border gate between Indian and Pakistan should open.  Jammu and Kashmir should be a bridge of peace between the two countries, she adds.

"Today is their (BJP's) time, tomorrow will be ours. His present will be like Trump's", Mufti attacking BJP Government compares the party with Presidential elections in USA. Speaking on the upcoming DDC elections, former CM Farooq Abdullah hinted that the Congress will also contest elections for the District Development Council (DDC).
