Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA)  in partnership with the Ministry of Education has launched ‘The Urban Learning Internship Programme’ (TULIP). Under the Programme the Ministry is eyeing to enroll fresh graduates in all urban local bodies and smart cities across the country. The Ministry has facilitated internships to over 16,000 candidates in around 300 cities/ ULBs.

For providing an opportunity to fresh graduates in all ULBs & smart Cities launched. Tulip is a program for providing fresh graduate experimental learning opportunities in Urban Sector. Fresh graduates from across the country have the opportunity to enroll in the TULIP Internship 2021 by logging into the AICTE Internship program.

About MoHUA TULIP Internship 2021: Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, a federal ministry with executive authority relating to housing and urban development in India, launches Urban Learning Internship Program (TULIP). The Internshipp program is for providing internship opportunities to fresh graduates in all urban local bodies and smart cities across the country. The smart cities mission has made significant progress in the past 4 years in laying the foundation of the future of Urban India.

AICTE/MoE TULIP portal aims to provide internships to at least thousands of young graduates in local and urban bodies every year. The Internship period is of one year.

TULIP Internship Eligibility: 

Indian citizens can apply for this internship. First graduates who have passed their engineering/degree course final year up to 18 months are eligible. Students who are studying in various engineering/non-engineering colleges in India are eligible to register online for MoUHA & MoE launched TULIP 2021 Internship programme. Now under AICTE TULIP Internship 2021, these graduates will get internship opportunities in various departments in different parts of the country under MoHUA.

Internship Benefits: India has a sustainable pool of Technical graduates for whom exposure to Real-world projects and planning is essential for professional development. General education may not reflect the depth of product knowledge. This program will help to value the market of Indian graduates and help create a potential talent pool in diverse fields like urban planning transport engineering and environment Municipal finance etc.

Duration of Internship & Application: The duration of the TULIP internship will be 8 weeks to 1 year. Details of the program available will be displayed on TULIP Portal. The application will strictly be accepted through an online medium. Application is required in a recommendation application format online at the TULIP portal. The applicant will require to submit a synopsis on urban issues under 1000 word-along with his and her application.

After successful completion of the Internship, a digitally signed and shareable internship certificate will be provided by MoHUA, the state government, AICTE.
