TN MRB Exam Date 2022 for Nurses, Doctors & Tutors Out Soon, Computer Based Test Likely in January

Medical Recruitment Board, Tamil Nadu shall conduct written exams for the posts of Nurses, Doctors, and Tutors in January 2022. A detailed exam schedule and hall ticket will be issued for the candidates registered under special qualifying examinations.

Medical Nursing Recruitment Board (MRB) Tamil Nadu is about to notify the exam dates 2022 for Nurses, Doctors, and Tutors on the official website mrb.tn.gov.in. The online and offline written examinations for Doctors, Nurses, and Tutors shall take place in January 2022. The candidates who have applied for MRB 788 posts of Nurses, Doctors, and Tutors on a temporary basis will be eligible to appear for the examination. MRB will conduct the written examination at designated centers in Chennai.

Once the exam dates and centers are finalized, MRB will issue the admit cards or exam hall tickets for eligible candidates. The hall tickets will be made available on the TN MRB website mrb.tn.gov.in for download. An intimation regarding the availability of hall tickets for download will be sent to the registered email ID or SMS to the registered mobile number. 

Earlier in December 2021, MRB invited the online applications against 788 temporary Assistant Surgeons, Medical Officers, and Non-Service Post Graduate, Diploma holders, and Tutors. The recruitment drive is being conducted for the Special Qualifying Examination by the Medical Recruitment Board, Government of Tamil Nadu.

According to the MRB recruitment notification, Computer Based Test (CBT) will take place for the Nurses and Tutors. While for the post of Assistant Surgeon (Doctors), the written exam will be OMR-based and on Optical Mark Reader (OMR) sheet. A list of eligible candidates has been uploaded on the official website.

Update: The list of candidates eligible to appear in the examination has been uploaded. Applicants can check the same using their first name and date of birth at the MRB link.

The question paper in the subject 'Medical Sciences' will be set in English only and will contain 200 objective-type questions. There will be no negative mark for the wrong answer. The questions will be in the standard of Under Graduate Level.

The written examination will be conducted for a total 100 marks. All 200 questions have to be answered in a time duration of 150 minutes. To qualify through the examination, candidates have to obtain a minimum of 35 percent marks. While for the SC, SCA, and ST category candidates the minimum qualifying marks are 30%. Selection will be made based on the marks obtained in the written examination, subject to fulfillment of Educational Qualification and other conditions stipulated in this MRB Notification.
