Last year in 2022, Ajith Kumar's starrer film Valimai did a good collection at the box office. It was made on a budget of Rs 150 crores, the film made Rs 36.17 on its opening day at the box office, and made a total record of Rs 200 Crores in the box office collection.

Considering the prediction of a hit or flop for Thunivu, the film has already had screen counts of about 550-575. The advance booking predictions and the word of mouth indicate the idea it will be a blockbuster hit at the box office.
