Thalapathy 65: Cobra director Ajay Gnanamuthu rejects directing of Vijay's 65

Ajay Gnanamuthu's after directed 'Demonte Colony' and 'Imaikkaa Nodigal', he's currently busy with Chiyaan Vikram for 'Cobra'. The shooting of the film had to be stopped due to the spread of the Coronavirus outbreak. At the same time rumors began surfacing online that Ajay Gnanamuthu would be the one directing actor Vijay's next film after 'Master'. Which tentative called 'Thalapathy 65' it was also said that this movie would be bankrolled by Sun Pictures. But now, the 'Cobra' director has finally cleared the rumors by addressing the issue about Thalapathy 65 himself on his Twitter account.

Thalapathy Vijay has been ruling the headlines for the past few weeks. As his upcoming film, Master is ready for release, news about his upcoming film has started doing the rounds. Rumors suggest that filmmaker Ajay Gnanamuthu is going to be working with Vijay within the actor's 65th film. Thalapathy Vijay recently held a private event for the music launch of his upcoming film Master. The actor started his speech by expressing how the makers could not hold a public event due to the Coronavirus scare. The biggest takeaway from his speech was the conclusion when Thalapathy Vijay stated that 'kill them together with your success, bury them together with your smile'. Master is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and starring Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupati in pivotal roles. The film also starring Malavika Mohanan and Andrea Jeremiah in supporting roles.

Thalapathy Vijay's 65th film to be directed by AR Murugadoss?

While Ajay Gnanamuthu has earlier assisted AR Murugadoss on Vijay’s 2012 film 'Thuppaki', it doesn’t appear to be there's a collaboration happening between the ‘Cobra’ director and Thalapathy anytime soon. A leading entertainment news portal has reported that AR Murugadoss will be directing Thalapathy 65. This comes after it was previously reported that Thalapathy Vijay will be receiving a whopping 100 crore fee for his 65th film from Sun Pictures production house. If true, this will be AR Murugadoss and Thalapathy Vijay's fourth collaboration after films like Kaththi, Thuppakki & Sarkar.
