The Supreme Court of India (SCI) has released the recruitment notification for filling up Court Assistant (Junior Translator) vacancies for the ex-cadre posts placed in Level 7 of the Pay Matrix. The Court invites online applications from the eligible & interested candidates starting from February 15, 2021, to March 13, 2021. The candidates having Bachelor's Degree with English as a subject and having a Certificate/Diploma in Translation of Languages, can apply online for the Supreme Court advertised Court Assistant (Jr. Translator) vacancies. Court Assistant (Ex-cadre) (Junior Translator)
(i) A Bachelor’s Degree/Graduate with English and (Subject i.e Hindi/Assamese/Bengali/Telugu/Gujarati/Urdu/ Marathi/ Tamil/ Kannada/ Malayalam/ Manipuri/ Odia/ Punjabi/ Nepali); AND (ii) A Diploma/Certificate Course in Translation from English to Hindi and vice-versa from University/Institute recognized by the Government UGC. OR
(iii) Two years’ experience in translation from Subject (Hindi/ Assamese & others) to English and vice versa in Central/State Government offices/ Parliament/State Legislature Secretariats or Central/State Public Sector Undertakings/High Courts. (iv) Proficiency in computer operations and knowledge of relevant office packages viz., word processing in English and Hindi language.
Age Requirement: Candidates applying for the post of Junior Translator should be above 18 years and below 27 years of age. Usual relaxation in age will be admissible to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-Servicemen and Dependents of Freedom Fighter Category as per Government Rules.

How to Apply:
Online applications are invited from Indian citizens who fulfill the following and other eligibility conditions as on 1st January 2021 for preparation a panel of candidates for filling up vacancies for the ex-cadre posts of Court Assistant (Junior Translator) placed in Level 7 of the Pay Matrix with initial Basic Pay of Rs.44,900/-. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online at www.jobapply.in/Sc2020Translator a direct link facilitated by the Supreme Court of India.
The online registration i.e. creation of New login, Filling of Application Form, and making the payment has started from 15 February 2021. The last date for filling the Online Application Form and/or making payment through Online Payment Portal is 13 March 2021 (11:59 P.M.). The Admit Cards for Online Interview to be uploaded on the website of provisionally eligible candidates. The admit cards for Interviews will not be sent by post.
According to the official advertisement, an intimation regarding an OMR based Written Examination shall be provided through e-mail, while Admit Cards for the same shall be downloaded and printed by respective candidates from the official website of the Supreme Court of India.
