On Tuesday, thousand of students launch online campaign demanding SSC to release Waiting list(s) in its exams. SSC has been alleged of not filling all vacancies it advertises during the publication of notification. Students raise their demand under the hash tag (#SSC_waiting_list) to publish waiting list(s) in all exams that Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts.

Staff Selection Commission has been in controversies in last couple of years specially after SSC CGL 2018 examination, when the matter reached to the Supreme Court over irregularities in the examination. The students protest led the examination to get scrapped.

SSC has been accused of not filling all vacancies it advertises. Students launching the online campaign asks Commission to consider publishing the waiting list(s) to fill all the vacancies.

According to the students SSC re-considers the left vacancies for the next year and this leads students miss their selection chances by decimal points and vacancies unfulfilled. Students asks SSC can bring the waiting list to free thousands of students from this 2-3 year cycle.

"Vacancies are meant to be filled, everything is fine, then why can't ssc start preparing the waiting list. Every deserving candidate deserves to be selected, at least when there is a vacant post", a user writes.

From many years, many students miss the opportunity to have a govt job just because SSC do not provide waiting list like IBPS. I request DoPT, PMO, and Prime Minister to plz look into our matter, another user writes on twitter.
