SSC JE Paper 1 Result 2020 Declared, 5681 qualifies for descriptive paper

SSC on Tuesday declared the results of Junior Engineer Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts Examination, 2019 of Paper-I. The candidates have been shortlisted for appearing in Paper-II (Descriptive Paper) as the list given below.

Staff Selection Commission has declared the results of Junior Engineer (civil, mechanical, electrical and quantity surveying & contracts) 2019 examination paper 1. The results have been declared on the official site of the Commission i.e ssc.nic.in. The qualified candidates will be called for the Descriptive Paper (Paper-II) of Junior Engineers Examination, 2019 scheduled to be conducted on 21.03.2021 (tentatively).

According to the SSC declared JE Paper 1 exam 2019 results, approx. 5.6k candidates have been shortlisted for the 2nd paper to be held in descriptive mode. A total of 4750 candidates have qualified from JE (Civil Engineering) and 931 from JE (Electrical / Mechanical Engineering). 

Paper 1 (Computer Based Test) was conducted for the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Examination, 2019 (Paper-I) in the Computer Based Mode from 27 Oct 2020 to 30 Oct 2020 at various centres all over the country and from 10 Dec 2020 to 11 Dec 2020 for candidates who had opted for Centres in Bihar.

Paper-I (Computer Based Examination) of the said examination was conducted in multiple shifts, marks scored by candidates have been normalized as per the formula published by the Commission on its website on 07 Feb 2019. The results of the JE Paper 1 was scheduled to be declared on February 26, but later delayed due to unknown reasons.

Minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I have been fixed as 30% (i.e. 60 marks) for UR, 25% (i.e. 50 marks) for OBC & EWS and 20% (i.e. 40 marks) for all other categories. Keeping the above in view, category-wise cut-off details and number of candidates qualifying to appear in Paper-II (descriptive) of the Examination are as follows: SC- 101.70, ST- 102.61, OBC- 115.93, EWS- 112.28, UR- 123.52, PWD OH- 92.24, and PWD HH- 55.73.

According to the JE Paper 1 result notice, marks of the qualified and non-qualified candidates will be uploaded on 08.03.2021 on the website of the Commission (https://ssc.nic.in). Candidates may check their marks from 08.03.2021 to 28.03.2021 by using their Registration No. and Registered Password.
