On Saturday, Christmas Day, Spider-Man: No Way Home is likely to surpass the USD 1 billion milestone at the global box office. This will make it the highest-grossing film of the year, as well as the first film in 2021 to break the billion-dollar mark globally. Spider-Man No Way Home will complete the feat in 11 days, which is the second-fastest of all time, tied with Avengers: Infinity War and trailing only Avengers: Endgame.
The film's domestic gross now stands at USD 405 million (approx), with another USD 40 million added on Friday. When No Way Home, the fourth Marvel Cinematic Universe film of the year, was released on December 17, it set epidemic records. It made USD 260 million in its first weekend, putting it miles ahead of not only prior epidemic releases but also at the number two slot behind Avengers: Endgame.
