Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has conducted the 1st stage CBT for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) posts between December 2020 to July 2021. The recruitment to fill over 35,208 undergraduate and graduate level vacancies will take place in three stages. To shortlist the candidates for the 2nd stage CBT, all Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) will prepare zone-wise and category-wise cut off marks depending upon the number of vacancies and received applications.
After the examination, candidates have been issued the provisional answer key of 1st stage compute-based test on websites of all the RRBs. With this, they can check and assess their provisional score.

Based on the reports, students are looking for the NTPC result and cut off marks to know their eligibility status for CBT 2. It is being searched on internet that how many marks are required to qualify for CBT 2, and with what minimum number, they start preparation for the 2nd stage test. The same has been discussed here.

In order to give a rough idea of zone-wise cut off marks, hereby we share a detailed analysis and preview of the NTPC CBT 1 expected cut off for General, OBC, EWS, SC, ST & PWD categories.
According to the media reports, more than 1.2 Crore applications were received by the Indian Railways. Out of the total, 50 to 52% candidates (approx. 64,00,000) attended the stage 1 computer-based test. Further, 20 times the number of vacancies the candidates will be shortlisted for the 2nd stage. Approximately, 7 lakh candidates will be declared eligible for the next stage which makes a 1:9 ratio per seat selection.
According to the rough statistics, the average score of candidates from the General category from 60-65 could be in a safe zone. Whereas, for SC and ST categories the score could be 50-60 and 50-55 respectively. For EWS candidates, the safe score could be 53-58. After normalization, these marks could vary with a difference of 5 to 15.
