Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is likely to display Answer key for the Assistant Mains examination, held on 22 November. Holding the Computer Based Examination for the posts of Assistant, RBI shall display provisional Answer key, response sheet, and intimation in regarding the challenges, at official site. Candidates appear for the RBI Assistant Mains exam 2020 can check the availability of solutions at rbi.org.in.

RBI Mains examination is conducted following the social distancing norms. Candidates were allowed entry only wearing a face mask/ face cover inside the examination hall. "Candidates compulsorily need to wear a mask, gloves and carry their personal water bottle (transparent), personal hand sanitizer, and a ball point pen and ink stamp pad", standard guidelines reads.

RBI on November 22, successfully conducts Assistant Mains exam 2019, at allotted exam-centres. The examination is conducted with an aim to shortlist candidates for the Language Proficiency Test against a total of 926 vacancies to the post of Assistant-2019. As per the detailed advertisement, ahead of the declaration of Result, RBI shall facilitate official Answer key.

According to the reports RBI Assistant Mains examination is conducted online on the computer. Online examination was carrying a total 200 questions, each carrying one mark.  The exam contained objective multiple choice questions (MCQs). Questions were set bilingually in English & Hindi languages, except for the English Language section.

Reasoning- The section contained total 40 questions from- Puzzles, Inference-based, Alphabetical Series, Figure Series, Word Formation, Venn Diagram, Analogy, Coding-Decoding, Direction and Distance, Blood Relations, Verbal reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, and Syllogism. 

English Language- The section contained 40 questions from - Comprehension Passage, Phrases and Idioms, Fill in the Blanks, Punctuation, One word Substitution, Sentence Correction,  Spelling Error, Rearrangement of Sentences, Error Detection, and Synonyms & Antonyms.

General Awareness- Questions were asked from Current Affairs, General Science, History, Geography, Economy, Polity, Sports events, Govt Schemes, Awards, Static GK, Banking Awareness, Banking terms, and Financial Institutions.

Numerical Awareness- 40 questions each carrying one mark, were asked from Algebra, Simplification, Percentage, SI & CI, Approximation, Speed, Distance, and Time, Average, Profit & Loss, Ratio and Proportion, Time and Work, Mensuration, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Problem on Age

Computer Knowledge- There were total 40 MCQs were asked from the Internet & Web, MS Office, Networking, Database Management, Security, and Operating System.

Candidates need to score minimum marks in each section to surpass the sectional cut off as well as overall cut-off. There was sectional timing of each-test or subject. There is a negative marking of 1/4th marks for a wrong answer. Official intimation regarding the Assistant Mains exam 2020 key would be available at rbi.org.in.

The Roll No. of candidates successful in main online examination will be made available on RBI’s website and a brief notice thereof will be published on the Bank’s website by December end. The successful candidates from the main on-line examination will be intimated on Bank’s website for submission of requisite documents to the Regional Office, within a period of fifteen days and no email/ sms in this regard will be sent to them.
