Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has scheduled to conduct the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2021 on December 24, 2021. In view of this, the board is going to invite online applications from the eligible candidates on the official website of the board i.e pseb.ac.in. PSTET 2021 online application process is expected to start soon, most probably in November-end. Once the PSTET 2021 application process begins, the eligible and interested candidates have to apply online and submit the application for the State Teacher Eligibility Test.
The application fee for PSTET Paper-I or Paper-II is Rs 600 while for both Paper-I and Paper-II, the application fee is Rs 1200. Key details including starting of applications, fees, last date, eligibility conditions, test schedule, syllabus, and other requirements will be made available through detailed notification at pseb.ac.in.
To be eligible for the PSTET Primary Level Teacher (Class I to V), a candidate should have passed Class 12th standard along with a 2-year diploma in elementary education. While, for paper 2, the candidate should have completed graduation or appeared in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. The candidate must be a citizen of India belonging to the Punjab state.

One should make sure that they prepare for the PSTET exam going through the exam pattern and syllabus so that they can score maximum marks. The PSTET exam will consist of 150 questions in each Paper i.e Paper 1 and Paper 2. All questions will be multiple-choice based, each carrying 1 mark. The maximum marks in the examination are 150. Candidates have to attempt all questions in a time duration of 90 minutes. In order to qualify one should obtain at least 90 marks (82 for OBC, ST, and SC) to qualify through the exam.

The Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted for determining the eligibility of a candidate to get an appointment as a teacher for Classes 1 to 8. The eligibility test is mandatory for teaching jobs in Punjab-based government schools.
PSTET Certificate Validity:
Upon qualifying for the examination, candidates will be issued eligibility certificates. According to the new provisions from the Ministry of Education, the validity of the PSTET will be for a lifetime.
