Against the backdrop of PS1's dominance at the box office, Ponniyin Selvan Part II, the sequel to the film, is planned for release in the summer of 2023, according to cinema trade expert Taran Adarsh. According to Adarsh, who also stated that part 2 of the movie was simultaneously shot with Ponniyin Selvan I, the official release date will be set in a few weeks.
