On Thursday, Netflix announces the first Tamil Anthology film titled "Paava Kadhaigal". This first Tamil anthology film to be directed by sensational directors Gautham Menon, Sudha Kongara, Vetri Maaran, and Vignesh Shivan and explores how love, pride, and honor influence complex relationships through four intricate and beautiful stories and will release exclusively on Netflix across 190 countries.
The first anthology film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies and Ashi dua Sara’s Flying Unicorn Entertainment. The film starring Anjali, Bhavani Sre, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Hari, Kalidas Jayaram, Kalki Koechlin, Padam Kumar, Prakash Raj, Sai Pallavi, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, and Simran, amongst others.

As per the sources, “Each story in this anthology explores unconventional, unfettered, and unconditional love. It’s great that these incredible stories will reach viewers in India and around the world with Netflix.”. director Vetri Maaran says “I enjoyed making this anthology with Netflix as I was able to focus on telling the story I wanted to. The freedom of filmmaking I experienced with Paava Kadhaigal was fulfilling.

Paava Kadhaigal isn’t Netflix India’s first anthology film. Earlier, Bollywood directors Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee, and Karan Johar had collaborated for Netflix films Lust Stories (2018) and Ghost Stories (2020).
