NCERT hires Professor, Librarian on 266 posts, Apply online before 3 August

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has released recruitment advertisement on 266 Academic & Non-Academic posts. NCERT releasing jobs advertisement 2020 invites online applications for filling Professor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor in different subjects and Librarian and Assistant Librarian posts. Eligible candidates can apply on NCERT academic & Non-Academic positions at official website recruitment.ncert.gov.in. The last date for application submission Online is set as August 3, 2020.

NCERT on Tuesday releasing jobs notification begins online applications for filling up 266 various academic positions under direct recruitment through interview for its constituent units all over India. These posts are transferable amongst the constituent units of the Council located in Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysore and Shillong & New Delhi, NCERT states. Candidates can view detailed eligibility, application method, pay scale, selection method, qualification & experience etc details from official job advertisement.

  • Assistant Professor- 142 vacancies
  • Associate Professor- 83  
  • Professor- 38 posts
  • Assistant Librarian- 2 posts
  • Librarian- 1 Post

Required Educational Qualification-

For the posts of Professor, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor a candidate should have a Post-Graduate Degree / Ph.D. in a relevant field.

Librarian- Applicants should have passed a Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation Science with at least 55% marks. At least ten years as Librarian at any level in University Library or ten years of teaching as Assistant/Associate Professor in Library Science or ten years of experience as a college librarian

Assistant Librarian- Candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree, with at least 55% marks. A consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of Library. NET in the concerned subject

Application fee- Applicants belonging to UR (Male)/ OBC (Male)/ EWS (Male) are required to pay a fee of Rs 1000/- (Rupees One thousand only) through online payment mode.

The names of the candidates for document and eligibility verification will be displayed on the website of the Council. Upon successful verifications of eligibility, the shortlisted candidates will be allowed for interview. Selection criteria on Academic & Non-Academic posts is based on interview.
