Navratri 2020 is being celebrated all around the world, and every nine days have a different meaning for worshipping Maa Durga. Maa Kushmanda is known as the Creator of Living, and she looks bright as she rides the lion. The significance of Maa Kushmanda Mantras will surely bring positivity and calmness to the mind and soul. 

According to scriptures, the goddess, Kushmanda is supposed to have created the universe out of nothing. When Lord Vishnu started creating the universe, she smiled and dispelled the darkness. She became the source of all the planets and stars.

Since the goddess has eight hands she is also known as Ashtabhuja Devi. The goddess is usually shown holding a trident, discus, sword, hook, mace, bow, arrow, two jars of honey and blood and she looks fiercely good. One of her hand makes the abhayamudra and with this she blesses devotees.

  1. Worshipping the Kalash that was installed on the first day of Navratri, which means that it brings the blessings of Maa Durga. 
  2. After worshipping Kalash, then you need to worship Maa Kushmanda and then BholeNath. 
  3. The devotees who worship the goddess will surely eliminate the negativity and enhance the purity of the inner soul. 
  4. Devotees also chant Om Devi Kushmandayai Namah a hundred and eight times in front of the Kalash to seek the blessing of Maa Kushmanda.

या देवी सर्वभू‍तेषु मां कूष्‍मांडा रूपेण संस्थिता।

सुरासम्पूर्ण कलशं रुधिराप्लुतमेव च।

दधाना हस्तपद्माभ्यां कूष्माण्डा शुभदास्तु मे॥
