Raghava role played by Anand Devarakonda, is the center of the film. He plays the role of a middle-class couple's son who looks forward to making a big change in his hotel business. He runs the tiffin center of his father in his village but he has a big dream to start a hotel business of his own. He wants to go to Guntur to establish his own hotel business but he does not have enough money to fulfill his dream. After struggling hard for a period of time he somehow manages to build his own hotel in Guntur but his business fails to rise.
Raghava feels proud of his Bombay Chutney which is enough to make him feel confidant about moving to the city even after getting annoyed by his demotivated father. He managed to build his own hotel but it did not go as he planned. On the other hand, he is in love with Sandhya, the role played by Varsha Bollamma who is his former school friend and relative's daughter who already lives in Guntur. Sandhya's father tries to get her hitched at the same time but seeing their mutual feeling for each other, he offers him a shop of his own at a low wage to see if Raghava manages to succeed in his venture.
Middle Class Melodies is not only about Raghava and Sandhya but her father's forceful attempt to get her married to a boy of his own choice. Raghava's best friend Gopal also plays a huge role in this movie. He has a craze for horoscopes, who is also in love with a salesgirl of mobile shop Gautami, the role played by Divya Sripada. Gautam faces her own set of problems at home.
Middle Class Melodies a lot of thread and opportunity to show the storyline in various manners but it does not go heavy on the aspect of emotions and humor of the film. The humor of the film is stable and funny because of the presence of some loud characters. The film seems to miss its secret ingredient else it would have been a great turn. The film does not only show the dreams of Raghava but also holds the story of the whole movie all together.
One of the best things about the film is that it has not overloaded the emotions and has kept the film subtle and natural. The editing of the film is impressive, whereas the scripting and dialogue delivery of the film is also commendable. The story also shows the delicious Bombay Chutney which is made full of love. Overall, the film is worth watching for all South-Indian cinema fans.
