Maharashtra Police Jobs 2020: To fill 12,538 posts by December end, says Home Minister

Maharashtra State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on Friday announced that state government to fill 12,538 vacancies in Maharashtra police. Chairing a meeting with Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Secretary & other officials, Minister said that recruitment on 12538 new posts is soon going to start and would be concluded by December end.

After chairing meeting at State Secretariat HM Deshmukh tweeted, "In a meeting with the Home Department officials in the ministry, the 12,538 posts of the state police force are directed to be filled immediately."

Maharashtra Police to fill 12538 posts of Constable, Head Constable & Sub Inspector. The process of application is likely to start soon. Maharashtra Home Department has directed concerned authorities to fill the vacancies by December end. “On 12,538 posts of the state police force to start soon & this process will be completed by the end of December”, Home Minister tweeted on Friday.

On July 17, state Home Minister held a meeting with Board & Ministry officials including Additional Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Special Principal Secretary and other officials at the state secretariat. In the meeting Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Sanjay Chahande, Finance Principal Secretary Nitin Gadre, Director General of Police Subodh Jaiswal, Special Principal Secretary Amitabh Gupta and other administrative officials were present.

Eligibility & Selection Process:

Candidates should have passed 10+2 / HSC examinations from Maharashtra State Board/ CBSE or equivalent board/ University. For Sub Inspector posts, a graduate degree would be required.

Selection of the eligible candidates will be based on successive stages of recruitment including Written exam, Physical standard & Physical efficiency test. Before the joining, candidates to be called for Medical Test & Document verification. The recruitment process is expected to be completed by the end of December.
