With Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan returned to the big screen after a four-year absence. The last time we saw the actor was in Thugs of Hindostan. His comeback movie, however, did not win over his admirers, as is shown from the film's box office performance.

The Forrest Gump remake barely increased its overall box office take at the end of the second. Laal Singh Chaddha might no longer be shown in many movie theatres after Liger is released on August 25. Laal Singh Chaddha 2 Weeks box office numbers are given here.

Laal Singh Chaddha had poor first-day attendance of 15-20% on Day 1. It is definitely not a good number for an Aamir Khan movie. The actor would have expected better theatrical chances after a four-year sabbatical, but it does not appear that is the case. The movie does not appear to be able to resuscitate it in comparison to its Rs 180 crore expenditure.

The film has also been a victim of the cancel culture since boycott appeals have been popular for weeks. Its box office receipts were impacted by this. Early trade estimates indicate that the movie barely made Rs 60 Lakhs on August 23, putting the overall revenue at about Rs 58 crores. On Wednesday, Laal Singh Chaddha had a 7.15 percent overall occupancy of Hindi speakers.
