Konkan Railway invites Applications on Technician posts, 10th Pass can apply before 27 November

Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), invites online applications for the recruitment of 78 posts of Technician Grade III (Electrical). Publishing the Recruitment advertisement at official website konkanrailway.com, Corporation under Ministry of Railways invites Applications from land loosers, regular employee and candidates from Maharashtra, Goa and Maharashtra states. Online applications for the 78 (58+20) posts are invited from Class 10th passed candidates having Certificate in Electrician & relevant trade.

Konkan Railway Corporation Limited on behalf of Indian Railways has released the recruitment advertisement for filling-up of the 78 posts of Technician (Electrical) in Grade III. Applications are opening online from the 28 October 2020 onwards. Required Eligibility Criteria:

Applications for the post of Technician-III/ Electrical in Electrical Department of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) are invited from eligible i) Land loser candidates (GEN/ EWS/ OBC/ SC/ ST) i.e those candidates whose land has been acquired for KRCL project ii) other than land losers (GEN/EWS/OBC/SC/ST) who are Domicile of Maharashtra, Goa or Karnataka and having valid employment exchange card, registered with the Employment Exchange along Konkan Railway route within the jurisdiction of Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. (Raigad, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri Districts of Maharashtra, Goa State and Uttara Kannada ,Udupi and Dakshina Kannada/South Kannada Districts of Karnataka) iii) other than land losers (GEN/EWS/OBC/SC/ST) who are domicile of the States of Maharashtra, Goa or Karnataka.

Candidates should have passed Matriculation/ SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/ SCVT in the trades of Electrician/ Wireman/ Mechanic HT, LT Equipment’s and Cable Jointing/ Electronics Mechanic (OR) Matriculation/SSLC plus CCAA in the trades.

Age Limit: The maximum age limit for appearing in the GDCE will be reckoned as on 01/01/2021. Maximum age criteria for UR category is 40 years, for OBC category 43 Years and for SC/ ST categories is 45 Years. For candidates other than regular employees the age criteria would be 18 to 33 years. The age shall be reckoned as on 01.01.2021.

Selection Method:

Selection process shall comprise of a Computer Based Test (CBT), Document Verification and Medical Examination. The final panel shall be drawn thereafter. The questions will be of objective type with multiple choices and are likely to include questions pertaining to Common General Awareness which shall comprise 90% of the total questions and 10% on Technical Awareness of the relevant trade.

Scale of Pay: Candidates as Technician-III/ Electrical will be recruited on 7th CPC Pay matrix level 02 with other allowances as admissible under the CDA scale.
