Dulquer Salmaan's most expensive Mollywood production, "King of Kotha," has begun filming in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, as it basks in the success of Sita Ramam. In July of last year, the actor unveiled his first look poster, which featured a gruff image of him holding a rifle.

Acting as both an action drama and a period piece, King of Kotha is rumored to have the highest budget of any Malayalam movie. Shanti Krishna and Gokul Suresh are also rumored to be on board for the movie in addition to Salmaan and Aishwarya. Gokul Suresh is the son of Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi and veteran Malayali actress Shanti Krishna.
Abhilash Joshiy will make his feature film directorial debut with it, while Dulquer's domestic label Wayfarer Films is providing the funding.
This movie will reportedly cross the budget of Veeram, which is the most expensive Mollywood movie to date. Veeram cost almost ₹35 crores in production & was released in 2016. Dulquer Salmaan's most ambitious project to date, King Of Kotha is likely to be made for more than ₹50 crores.
The story of the movie has not been revealed yet. By the looks of the poster released by the lead actor himself, one can expect the movie to be of a serious tone.

No official confirmation about the movie's premiere has come yet. Considering it's a budget film, it's needless to say the movie's shoot will take a long time to wrap up. Since we are already in October, the movie will have its release in 2023. The trailer has not been released yet.
