KCET 2021 Result Date; Results To Be Declared by 20 September, Counselling in October

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is expected to declare the result of the KCET 2021 exam by September 20, says state Higher Education Minister Dr. Ashwathnarayan. Further, KCET 2021 counseling shall likely start in October month.

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is expected to declare the result of the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2021 by September 20, says State Higher Education Minister Dr. Ashwathnarayan. If the result is announced as per the schedule it would be to declare the entrance test result in a record time, the state Minister added. Further, the counseling process is expected to commence in early October.

On Sunday, August 29, 2021, the authority concluded the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) which was held at more than 580 exam centers across the state. The examination was held following the COVID-19 guidelines and safety protocols. Over 2 lakh candidates had registered for the exam. Of which a total of 1,93,588 appeared for Physics and 1,93,522 appeared for Chemistry.

Afterward, KEA is expected to release the KCET answer key this week, by September 05, and shall process the result thereafter. Meantime students should be provided an opportunity to raise objection/s which will pave a way forward to the final answer key. In case an objection raised by the candidate is accepted, changes will be made and reflected in the final answer key. Results will be calculated based on the final answer key. Hence, the students are asked to keep a check on the website of the KEA.

It should be noted that the result will only be declared at the website of the Karnataka Examination Authority i.e kea.kar.nic.in. After the announcement of the result, all the candidates will be able to check/download their results. The candidates have to keep ready their roll number and other credentials ready to check the result.

Candidates who clear the exam will be eligible to appear for counseling. Seats will be allotted based on the score obtained in the merit list. Candidates will be called based on marks obtained in the exam, after document verification, seats will be offered on a merit basis.

Admission to Engineering & Agriculture/Medical courses will be made through Karnataka CET 2021. Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) conducts the KCET for admission to colleges across the Karnataka state. The exam is based on the first and second-year PUC syllabus.
