Kabir Singh box office collection Day 23 - Shahid Kapoor starrer still going strong despite the new challenger Hrithik's Super 30

Kabir Singh Box Office Collection Day 23 -  Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh has been able to hold its grip at the box office despite the release of a new challenger Hrithik Roshan and Mrunal Thakur starrer 'Super 30'. Kabir Singh has now cruised past the Rs 250 crore mark to become the highest grosser of 2019 among all the Bollywood films this year. It surpassed the lifetime box office collection of Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike to achieve this feat.


Kabir Singh had to face the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 matches as well as torrential rains in many parts of the country including in Mumbai. These factors have certainly affected Kabir Singh's box office collections but the film still performed very well.

The film's box office collection was Rs 3.75 crore on Saturday, thus making  a total box office collections up-to the Rs 255.89 crore.

The film is written and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and is a remake of Telugu hit Arjun Reddy. Jointly produced by Cine1 Studios and T-Series, Kabir Singh has been released across 3,123 screens in India and 493 screens overseas.
 Kabir Singh tells the story of a short-tempered surgeon who goes on a path of self-destruction by consuming drugs and alcohol after his girlfriend (Kiara Advani) is forced to marry another man.
 
Apart from Shahid Kapoor, the film also features Kiara Advani, Arjan Bajwa, Soham Majumdar, Suresh Oberoi and Adil Hussain in key roles.
